Civil Designer

Are you passionate about 3D design, civil engineering and industrial projects? Do you enjoy turning technical challenges into accurate, practical and buildable solutions?

For our Civil team, we are looking for Civil Designers to strengthen our teams in Belgium (Tienen and Beringen) and Bulgaria (Sofia and Varna).

As a Civil Designer at Polytek, you transform technical requirements and project information into accurate 3D models, construction drawings and technical deliverables. You are involved throughout the design process, from measurements and modelling to construction documentation and support during execution.

You work closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers, BIM Modelers, other engineering disciplines and our clients. Together, you make sure designs are technically sound, accurately documented and ready for execution.

With your technical insight, eye for detail and practical mindset, you help us get things right from the start.

What you will do:

• Create and develop technical 3D civil models in Revit.

• Prepare accurate construction drawings and technical documentation based on your designs.

• Perform and process the necessary measurements for your projects.

• Create, verify and finalise technical project deliverables.

• Develop civil drawings and details required for the execution of industrial projects.

• Coordinate your designs with other disciplines to ensure an integrated and buildable solution.

• Coordinate and submit documentation to Project Engineers, Project Managers and clients.

• Present designs and deliverables and process feedback from clients and other stakeholders.

• Exchange technical information with colleagues, clients and other disciplines.

• Monitor and report on the progress of your work.

• Perform final checks on documentation and deliverables prepared by BIM Modelers.

• Provide technical support during the on-site construction phase.

• Propose practical solutions and identify opportunities to optimise designs and execution.

• Contribute to smooth communication between Polytek and the client.

• Build strong client relationships and remain attentive to opportunities for further collaboration.

Who you are:

• You have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.

• You have a strong technical mindset and an interest in civil design and industrial projects.

• Knowledge of Revit is required.

• Experience with creating reinforcement drawings in Revit is a strong plus.

• You have knowledge of Navisworks and MS Office.

• You have a good command of English (and Dutch when applying for the sites in Belgium)

• You quickly understand and process technical information.

• You work accurately, are well organised and know how to set priorities.

• You take ownership of your work and focus on delivering quality results on time.

• You have an analytical mindset and enjoy finding practical solutions to technical challenges.

• Working Together: you are a team player who enjoys collaborating with colleagues, clients and other disciplines to achieve a shared result.

• Sharing Knowledge: you actively share information, experience and best practices with colleagues and are open to learning from others.

• Customer Orientation: you listen to the customer, understand their needs and translate them into practical, high-quality solutions.

About us

• Polytek was founded on a clear and non-negotiable principle: getting it right from the start. As engineers and builders, we’ve seen how industrial projects are too often mismanaged.

• With an advanced 3D modelling process, rigorous preparation, and extensive on-site experience, Polytek can map out industrial projects in such detail that we can confidently deliver on time and within budget.

• To steer industrial projects effectively and efficiently, we collaborate with all stakeholders and work our way through a four-step process. First, we initiate. Next we design, then we build, and finally, we operate. Always with the utmost attention to detail.

• By uniting different perspectives and skill sets, we can tackle challenges from all angles: engineering, project management, architecture, process development and innovation.

• Yes indeed, the ‘poly’ in our name is not just a play on words. It’s a reflection of who we are and what we’re capable of.
